What happens when the muscle you gain "pushes" the fat outwards?!

Question: I want to sprint so I have to eat enough food to have energy (1800-2000 calories of healthy foods a day) and so I've gained a lot of muscle which is underneath the fat. Now, it looks like I'm just all fat though (cuz u can't see the muscle). I'm a busy person and I do sprint workouts 5x a week (track). I don't have time to do other exercises.

How can I burn the fat and show the muscle?!!

That is the question of the century! The truth is that to burn the fat you HAVE to consume less fat and calories so the muscle uses the fat already stored instead of just pushing it outward. That is why so many people give up in fitness...the benefits take a LOT LOT longer to show than it took to get fat! It isn't fair, but it is the way it is.

Diet and Excercize are the only way to lose fat.

do cardio vascular to lose weight... that would be like lightweight jogging and stuff like that... it takes a long time, but once the fat's gone, as long as you have muscle, you'll be fine

Have a diet!!Please everybody, answer this question:http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?...

If you're eating that few calories of healthy food, then you should be getting leaner (less fat). You may already be doing this but if not, you should have 5-6 smaller meals during the day instead of 3 big ones. Or 3 smaller meals and a health snack in between.

cutting fat is more about doing more reps... meaning you need more time. Hard effort in short time is what makes the muscle.

running long distances should help rather than going to for speed.

I have exactly the same problem. And to add to it I've got a big frame. it really looks like I've got boobs. To loose fat you need to output more than you input, so you'll have to cut down on the calories until you loose the fat. Then got back up to the amount you should consume.

75% DIET, 25% EXERCISE, TO GET RID OF YOUR EXCESS FAT. In fact, you will notice you will have more energy if you don't consume any fast food, & minimize sugar, fat, rice, white bread in your diet! Good luck!

That DOES NOT happen. Muscle does not "push" fat "outwards." Sounds like you are in denial for being a little chubby.

Well. If ya want to slim up, more Repitition, lower wieght is the way to go.

If ya want bulk, High wieght, low reps.

A routine and combination of the 2 should get you a good look. The workout magazines usually have good guides to specific muscles groups. Specifically to get ripped though, is High reps, low wieght.

BUT keep a few things in mind:
- The people in those magazines are usually professionals, who work out a Lot.
- Are air brushed
- Have peeked and dehydrated themselves to look their best for that photo shoot
- Different parts of peoples bodies grow and develop differently. ( I was a lil jealous of my borther, because his chest grew fast, but my back developed quickly, and i always had a better V then him)
- And dont look like that all the time.

Generally, if your on a varsity track team for running, You probably look great! Step back and make sure you're not sellin yourself short. If ya want a specific part of your body to look better, sometimes it just takes just an extra set or two on that area to get it where ya want it to be.
