Is it bad to have a big dinner?!


Question: Ok so I only eat like 600 calories through out the day but then when I get home at like 6pm I have a big dinner of about 1100 calories, is this bad. I mean someone told me that as long as you eat in the amount of calories you are aloud to have you wont gain weight, is this true?

for most people it is a very bad habit to start. breakfast should be the highest calorie meal of the day. the calories should decrease as the day progresses and the level of activity decreases.

it's also very hard to eat a meal of healthy foods that contains so many calories, 1100 calories for a single meal is a LOT . that would be equivalent to 6 skinless chicken breasts, 4 cups of green beans and 4 cups of broccoli. i'm almost 250 lbs with 9% body fat and don't even consume such high calorie meals. most of my meals are between 500-600 cals

i thourght it was 300, 300, 600 with a hundred cal snack and u wont gain weight... could be wrong....

5000 calories = 1 pound so if you eat one BIG dinner for one day...there'll be no harm done
and yes, if you eat the amount your suppose to, you wont gain weight...(that is...if you dont walk at all that day then you'll gain weight)

I always do 200 for breakfast, 300 for lunch, 100 for snack, 600 for dinner (yeah...Idk why it's the biggest). But I can eat nothing 'til dinner or eat a lot in the day, I'll still be hungry at dinner (so I figure I should eat less in the day lol!). I'm sure you're alright but I might change it to 800 for the day and 700 for dinner =D

Unless your doing exercise after tea then yes it is bad, because as soon as you go to sleep that food will be stored on you as fat because your body has shut down a lot of its functions. Best to have a smaller meal at night and reverse the intake. 600 300 300 calories. Most people seem to get this meal wrong its not the time to be eating more but less.
