I need you experts to answer my question?

I am 15 years old, about 150lbs and a height of 6"3. I am trying out for my high school Junior Varsity Soccer team. I need to run 2 miles in 12 minutes or atleast 7 laps +. The first time I ran a mile was completed in 8:36, then 8:04, then 7:44, then 7:30 and now I just completed 1.53 miles in 10:28.
I am a vegetarian (oatmeal, rice, wheat,lots of fatty foods,lentils,greens) and I think I should improve my diet. What do you recommend I should I have to be a better runner. Please help me!

How many athletes do you know are on a vegetarian diet? I am much older than you and I am in now way trying to be an athlete, just tryin' to stay active. I ran in a 5K race over 10 years ago and I came in butt last, walking. Last November I ran in another 5k run with a healthy protein diet. I completed the run as a runner this time and I didn't come in butt last. Feed your body some protein.
