Way to put on healthy muscle but still lost the last amount of fat on belly.?!

Question: This last year ive gone from 244lbs to 185 (current weight as of today). For the most part very happy with my results. I would like to lose the last bit of fat at the bottom of my midsection but at the same time put on some healthy muscle. Is this a contridiction? Should I just focus on one or the other or is there a way to do both? Would like to put on approx 20lbs of muscle in the course of a year. Diet isnt a problem but I'm just unsure if i can lose the fat while trying to put on some size? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks so much =)

first and foremost..Congrats on your weight loss way to go.....The "fat at the bottom of your mid section could be skin?????? Our skin has a 6-8 month delay on it... Meaning It can take skin up to that time to tighten after fat has been released from underneath.......You can do both you can continue eating and maybe step up the proteins and add amino acid to your diet...This feeds muscle and muscle burns fat. Muscle is heavier but fat takes up more space....So you may have to ignore the scale for a while ....If you drop your caloric intake ( cut calories) while stepping up weight bearing and cardio...you could burn muscle and reach what seems ( appears to be ) a plateau....Keep up your calories and just rev up you weight bearing exercise...maybe some supplements can be added to the diet that you are already on...Hopefully it is a healthy on that is a lifestyle change....Best wishes.

First, congrats on the weight loss. Heavier weights are going to build muscle and lighter weights will tone and lose fat. Mid-section fat has a lot to do with eating sugar. So that's that.

Bigger weights to gain muscle and light weights to lose fat. Plus cardio :)
