13 year old weight?!


Question: I'm 13 and 100 pounds. All my life I've been skinny and I still am, but ever since I started dancing more my muscles have developed a ton. I'm 5'2.

Anyways, I did this test online to check my body fat percentage. I got 12%. Does that mean most of my weight is from the muscles I've obtained through dance?

Also, today when I was making breakfast I made myself a piece of toast with a bit of peanut butter. My mom told me it was totally fattening and that i shouldn't be eating it. She acts as if I really need to loose weight or something. So know I'm really insecure about eating around her. What are some tips for that?

Muscle weighs more than fat, first of all.Next.you NEED that peanut butter for the protein you use during dance.I know, I took dance for YEARS..You are a GREAT weight. The thing that gets us the most is actually the things we DRINK.. sodas, energy drinks, kool-aids, etc. Water has no calories if it is just REULAR water..some bottled water actually has about 80-140 calories.. for a BOTTLE OF WATER!.. so watch what you drink. As for your food intake, eating many smaller meals is WAY better than one plate of food.. you end up starving .. and eating a HUGE plate of food.Eat as many raw foods as possible. Fruits and vegetables, grains,etc. they burn cleaner in the body..the less processed foods, the better for you.

A piece of toast in the morning with peanut butter is and EXCELLENT choice.. it will give you protein for the day.Just don't overdo it and eat like 4 slices. haha.

OH.. and those tests online are stupid... they can't POSSIBLY guage the way you are PERSONALLY...they are made for people who want to starve themselves in an unhealthy manner.. anorexics and binge eaters...

apparently, your mom gets the message that u think ur fat, or she thinks that now you are dancing she wants you to eat healthier. eat what you want, the only time to worry about your weight is if it is from fat, you should be proud of heavy muscles. i know 11 year olds who weigh what you weigh. dont be worried.

Im 13 5'3 and way 99 pounds. The normal 13 year old weight is 110-115 pounds. You so perfect so dont worry.

I eat like a truck driver and still never gain a pound!! Im like... well, my weight loves me lol. it wont go up. i was 40 pounds in 4th grade and i was like 4'6??


Dont worry about your weight. Eat one full plate a day. If your still alittle hungry, then a half a plate. other then that.. there ya go lol

you are a perfectly fine weight for your height and bulid... in fact, you are just a little underweight, so you can eat what you want, girl!

Your mum is probably just trying to maintain your small and skinny physique, which is not very good as she is promoting a negative body image. You are, as ive said, a bit underweight, so dont listen to your mum and eat what you want, in moderation, mind you. Just eat normally, and dont go on any crazy diets, because you are obviously a very active and fit girl.

As for the 12% fat thing, thats rubbish, and even if it were true, it only means that 12% of your total mass is fat, so if you are 100 pounds, only about 10 pounds of that is fat, so dont worry, because you seem very healthy and active. I hope this helps. =) x

Muscle weighs much more than fat. Online body fat calculators don't seem to be that accurate. If you really want to know if you're at an ideal weight you should go see your doctor. Dancing can give you more muscle.

You should try talking to your mom and ask her why think acts like you should lose weight. At your height, you should actually weigh more and maybe you are underweight.
