Actually, studying uses a lot of calories. I don't know how much and would be curious to find out, but I suspect it's hard to do the tests because brain activity is much harder to control and monitor than the physical activity. I mean sometimes you actively solving problems, sometimes you're kind of spacing out, sometimes you add anxiety on top of it.
But I noticed that I lose weight when I study hard.
