How do I eat healthy?!

Question:

How do I eat healthy?

I look deathly pale and you can see my veins in places where they don't usually show up. Is this because I don't get enough nutrients? How do I eat healthy when my parents do the grocery shopping and I don't know what exactly is healthy for me?

Answers:

If you are pale then sunlight will help but, be sure not to stay out too long since you are naturally fair skinned you can get sunburned really bad. If you do not want to tan outside because your skin is sensitive to the sun then you can try a self tanner. A brand called jergens makes a good lotion that is a self tanner it is called glow and can be found at grocery stores. Also if your diet does not already have fruits and veggies in it then eating healthier may healp. Go with your parents to the store and pick out food or give them a list and tell them that you want to eat more fruits and veggies because they are good for you.

Good foods:
-Fruits: Apples, Oranges, Grapefruit, Grapes, Peaches, Plums, Watermelon, Strawberries, Blueberries, Raspberries, Bananas, Canteloupe, etc.
-Veggies: Celery, broccoli (it is a powerful source of antioxidents which are very good for you), peas, green beans, corn, carrots, etc.
-Whole grains: Whole grain breads, whole grain pasta
*Whole grain breads and such also give you a great amount of fiber which is very important in a healthy balanced diet- it is good for you and helps keep you full longer.
-Calcium: Drinking 3 glasses of milk a day will give you the amount of calcium your body needs. Also you can drink soy milk or eat yogurt.
-Vitamins and minerals: You can take supplements but, also a good way is drinking chocolate soymilk it is made by a brand called SILK and it tastes very good. It has 11 vitamins and minerals.
-Protein: Eating lean meats such as salmon, chicken, or lean beef will give you a good amount of protein.

Just eat healthy and get outdoors a little bit. Best wishes.
