I think your friend was spot on, in fact you're probably defined as being morbidly obese...............that's a shocking weight to be at only 5ft 10. You don't say how old you are but it's never too late to do something positive about your eating habits and exercise.
As hard as it might be, you can make small changes to your lifestyle that will positively impact on your weight and general wellbeing. You should avoid popular faddy diets that have short term instant gains but no long term positive health gains, and pursue a balanced diet that helps you lose perhaps 2 or 3 lb per week. I would recommend you seek some expert assistance via your GP, they can then check for any medical conditions you might have that impacts on your weight or may affect what kind of diet and exercise regime is suitable to follow.
