How come fat turns more wobbly and loose when you eat more healthily and exercis!

Question: Since starting weight watchers a month ago, I have lost half a stone and have noticed that the fat on my belly went from hard to jelly like (it looks bloomin' horrible) Im not too stressed about it because there's not much there now but why does a change in diet and exercise make the belly more wobbly? Isn't it supposed to be the other way round?

Thanks :)

BUT ITS A GOOD SIGN. Fat is a complex hydrocarbon molecule that have ester bonds in them. When u exercise a 2 part process takes place. Body core temperature starts inreasing and so these long chained hydrocarbons have a week covalent bonding which is relatively sensitive to heat..so bonds start breaking .Secondly...muscle requires and burns more calories than fat just to function so when u exercise your muscles are actually tryying to attain ATP which is the form of useful energy in our body and tries to break fat so that it can be used by cellular mitochondria for energy. Hence everything seems like jelly but its good and also so that your muscles are not used as a form of energy supplement with proteins.

Because the muscle tightens up but the fat does'nt.
Exercise tones the muscle, Excess fat you will have to burn off. Sorry no pain no gain

Its getting ready to leave the body

My stomach got really lumpy and gross before I lost weight.

Give it a month and it'll be gone

LOL YEA!! YEA GOOD QUESTION. that happens to me to. you wont believe how long i was going to ballys total fitness and i swear i use to wrok my abs daily but my stomach to this day is still flabby.
maybe like that person on top of me said the fat is still in the body but your muscles are tight

Maybe it's more loose skin rather than fat?

Do some sit ups to tighten up your stomache.

because it is softening so it can be dissolved easier to be flushed from your body

That is just the skin that had been stretched out because of the fat. Try exercises having to do with toning these areas.

It's disslodging and breaking apart, the body is consuming it, as you want it to, keep up the good work..

That isn't fat you see when you lose weight. It is excess, stretched out skin.

The fat is losing it's density, this is a good sign that things are moving in the right direction.

because you are forming muscle faster than you are able to burn the fat...it will go away it just takes a bit more time

"Isn't it supposed to be the other way round?"

LOL... All the guys with beer belly would love that ;)

it just needs a bit of firming up..

that's why they say to exercise as well as diet =)

Try sit-ups..it depends on what type of workouts you do! Crunches, stairs, jumping jacks, running, and lunging is what should tone you up. I would try dancing too..I love to dance it's really fun and it will tone your legs..ALOT!

Go Get Em!

wat ur talking about isnt fat. its excess skin from where ur fat used to be. i have that same problem. im fat. i lost some weight mostly in my chest area from push ups and bench press. now its not fat but there is some excess skin that will go away wen u grow

well the stomich is the harded place to lose weight and the best place to gain it keep dieting but that will be the last place you will lose weight in

Mariachi got it right. Because the muscles tighten but the fat has to be burned off. Until then it just flops around. By the way, after a while the skin loses it's elasticity and will not tighten, either...

Keep working on burning the fat... it'll go if you are persistent and consistent.

I have that same problem!!! Im on weight watchers too, and my belly is going away, but it is getting flabby-like. I think it is because some of the fat under the skin is going away, so the skin itself is more wobbly. At least thats what Ive been told. Try focusing your excercise on the ab area, and it should help tighten the area up. I use the tape 8 Minute Abs, and it is WONDERFUL!!! It is literally an 8 minute excercise tape that yu do everyday. In have actually lost weight around my middle just by doing the tape everyday without dieting!! Hope that helps and good luck!

heeeeyyyy!!! WELLL!!!! when you burn off fat, the skin becomes loose from losing all the junk in your body. you exercising will tone up your body soon enough! give it about 4-6 weeks...working out 3-4 times a week and you''ll really notice the difference then! don't give up :)))

and that fat will come off with time, it's easier to gain weight than to lose..which yeah, does suck, but it's worth it in the end when you eat healthier because you feel BETTER!!! :D

Weight loss occurrs more quickly than the skin is able to tighten, so your skin is probably the same size as it was but there is less fat underneath the skin around your stomach. Steady weight loss rather than crash dieting should help keep this to a minimum, and exercise should help.

give it some time and the skin will tighten around your stomach again.

unless you were extremely overweight, in which case you would have to get a tummy tuck.
