Is it more efficient to do 20 pushups or lift 10pd weights 20 times?!

Is it more efficient to do 20 pushups or lift 10pd weights 20 times?

i would my arms to be stronger, but i want to do know which one will strengthen them more. thanks


Answers:

Low weights with high reps will make your arms look toned. Too gain strength at a substnatial level, you need to lift a high weight with low reps. Lift the most weight that you can 8 times. Push ups is good for arms and it also strengthens your chest.

The difference between push ups and lifitng light weights (10 pounds) depends on what you want too achieve. So, since you want to achieve strength, do the push ups. You can still lift the 10 pound weights 20 times, because they will make you look good. But too be strong you need to lift the max weight you can lift 8 times. If you can do it more then 8 times, its not heavy enough. This is a link to show you different arm excerices.
