Im 5'6 125lbs. what should my calorie intake be if....?!


Question: I dont necessarily want to lose weight, but i just started working out and want to "tone up"??

and any excersize tips would be great!

any help is much appreciated.

Using the MD Mifflen and ST St Jeor BMR Equation, your will need between 1300 and 1350 calories if you are between the ages of 20 and 30.

First, to actually tone muscle, you must have muscle and have little fat. So, most people say tone up, but what they really need is fat loss, even if they are not "fat." You must loose the fat covering the muscle before you can see it.

So, you will probably need to work on building muscle, and cutting fat. There is a fair amount of information to accomplish this. Bodybuilding.com has plenty of articles and is my favorite site. I would recommend getting a personal trainer to get you going.
