Does burning belly fat ever go...weird?!

Question:

Does burning belly fat ever go...weird?

I've been running 25-35 minutes a night for about a month, maybe a little less. I recently noticed that uh...my belly is shaped a bit weird! The upper part above the belly button is flatter. The bottom half, however, seems to be a bit bigger in comparison. It pokes out a bit just below the belly button, and there is a slight almost part-like division in the middle on the bottom half. Below the belly button, it slopes more downward. I should mention that this is not hugely noticeable, and that I wasn't big to start with. It just strikes me as weird. I haven't really noticed this before. It almost seems like the fat is even migrating downward, as there seems to be more in that area.
If this is necessary info:
height=5'5"
weight=~117, between 115-120

Actually, I started doing a few ab exercises a little while ago, but it was only a week ago or a week and half maybe. Maybe I'm getting toned around that one little spot....lol! I should find some new ab workouts. So that actually happens eh? I didn't think "spot burning" was actually feasible.

No, I'm not pregnant. I know that much, and that wouldn't make sense anyway; people start showing at what, 2,3 months? Showing is not a first sign...you'd probably figure it out by then.

Answers:

Try incorporating different abdomen exercises into your daily routine. You didn't mention if you were doing anything besides running, but if you only work one area of your abs, only that part will start showing definition. Running is good because you can get some side to side stretching of the muscles (not much, but sometimes a little is enough, especially if you run consistently, which you say you do). Also if you do sit up/crunches, you're working your upper stomach area. Try leg lifts, side sit ups, and so on. Rotate the exercises so you're not constantly working one area. Keep an eye on it, and if it really concerns you, have a doctor check it out.
