You might actually be losing the FAT, it's just not showing up on the scale!. There is a condition during weight loss called a "plateau", where you had been losing weight and are keeping up the diet and routine, but you go through a period of time where the scale keeps reading the same weight!. What happens is the body holds on to and retains water!. The fat is still being lost, but being replaced with water!. The body may also hold on stronger to the last 20 lbs!.
