How can I become a faster runner?!


Question: How can I become a faster runner!?
I'm a girl and omg im such a slow runner,like not slow slow but average slow:( are there anyways that I can improve m y running !? cuz track& field is starting next week, and I relaly don't want to be the last person to make it back to the end of the gym!.!.again:( please help!! i jsut need tips and how to's thanks:) the answer that has the most tips/how to's will be chosen as best answer:)! btw im in grade 7 so nothing extreme!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am 14 and I have been running for 5 years so you can trust my answers!. =)
1) One mistake beginner runners make is not opening their stride long enough!.!.!.believe me, takeing longer steps will not only make you faster but it will also make you less tired!.
2) Are you eating what you need to eat in order for your body to run!? Make sure you eat bananas, soy milk (I don't like regular soy milk, but the chocolate kind tastes just like regular chocolate milk), carbs like bread and pasta, strawberries contain a high sourse of vitamins and natural energy, healthy calories for energy (such as grapes or low fat frozen yogurt), and as many vitamins you can get!. A runner's diet is key along with hydration!.!.!.!.just remember the best drink you can get is water!.
3) STRETCH, STRETCH, STRETCH!!! you can never ever get enough stretching! expecially on colder days when your muscles are tight!. This will help you feel more comfortable while you are running as long as make your muscles relax a little more!. It also prevents injuries!.
4) Practice and practice hard!. Don't slack off, and always push yourself that extra step!. You are never as tired as it seems!.!.!.you just have to let your legs take control and shut off your brain because running is 90% mental, and 10% physical!.
5) watch when you eat!.!.!.!.you should not eat any sooner then 2 hours before running!.!.!.!.and before races make sure you don't eat things that are going to stick in your stomach because between your nerves and the jarring of the foods, your lunch is going to end up on the track!.
6) when you are not running track, run cross country or at least run on your own, because if you stop running then its just going to be double the work!.!.!.!.besides i think you find you like running cross country!.

Take long strides!. Then go your normal passe!. If you take long strides you'll use the same amount of energy but get farther!. You should also try running 1-3 times a day!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
