Muscle pain near shins?!

Question: Muscle pain near shins!?
I am in bad shape and overweight!. Recent, my friend and I have started doing a Parcourse trail near us (a trail that is about a mile long and has various exercise stations along it, like jumping jacks and chin-ups)!. After this, and even several days later, the muscles near my shins (on the inside of my leg, near the front, sorry I can't be more helpful) hurt much more than any of my other muscles!.

I wanted to know if there was anything I could do to help reduce this pain!. I don't think it is anything serious, but I remember we did some kind of exercise for shin splints in gym in high school!. Would that help!? I want to keep exercising and I understand that soreness is part of the process, but any help is appreciated!. Thanks!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It sounds like shin splints - although there's not really much you can do to get rid of them, try these sites for cures:

Sounds like shin-splints!. I've had them several times!. You want to try to rest them as much as possible you can also ice them it will help with the inflammation which is partly what causes the pain!. Also take an anti-inflammatory like ibuprofen!.

Also, you can wrap your shins with gauze or athletic tape!. Basically run it across your shins horizontally, this keeps everything in place and prevents strain!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
