How do I tone my lower abs after c-section?!

Question:

How do I tone my lower abs after c-section?

My baby is now 14 months old and my lower abs are still a problem. What are some things I can do to shape up even a little!

Answers:

An easy work out for the lower abs you can do anywhere:

sit on a backless chair and lean back about half way using your arms and hands to support you. Bring your knees to your chest and then fully extend them keeping your tummy muscles tight the whole time. Do it about 10 times take a breather and do a few more reps.

Crunches are always a good work out, instead of just up and down, move side to side to work out the side muscles in your abdomen.

Also, for the lower abdomen, laying on your back and lifting your legs, while keeping them straight, just a few inches off the floor and holding them there as long as you can. Do it a few times, as much as you can handle.

Another one similar to that is when laying on the back, extend your legs and raise them a foot off the ground and lower them until about a few inches off the floor. Do this several times, several reps, as long as you can handle.

Remember, how many is not the key... It's consistency that makes it work. Don't work out everyday, your body needs to rest. Every other day or even a few times a week on scheduled days.

Do it while you're watching TV, listening to the radio - it will help you not think about any pain.

Good Luck!
