Question: How do you change your self image!?
i have an extreme fear of gaining weight!. i don't starve myself by any means but i'm always extremely conscious about how much i eat so that i don't go over once i feel full!. i look at my stomach in the mirror to see if its expanded after i've eaten!. about once a week i get crazy cravings for sweets and end up binging on them!. before eating sweets, i feel fat!. after eating them and when my stomach really does get bigger, that's when i realize i wasn't too fat to start with after all!. i really want to accept my body for what it is and not worry so much about what i eat!. however it's hard not to since just a few lbs can really alter the way i look!. i've never been obese but i've been chubby and i had extremely low self esteem!. guys seem to check me out more and show more interest in me when i'm thin!. how can i get over this mental fear of gaining weight and stop caring about how i appear to others!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I can relate!. I used to be anorexic, (I'm still recovering) because of my extreme fear of gaining weight, but now I'm at a healthy weight and I don't feel those feelings that often!.

All I had to do was to stop and realize that no matter what weight I was I would always be a great person, and that nothing that anyone could say could change me!.

If guys checked you out more because you were thin it's because you're beautiful not because of your size! They probably still do, and it shouldn't even matter if they only did it because of weight, I don't think I'd like a guy who'd only consider me if I was 10 pounds lighter!.

Another thing, your stomach DOES expand when you eat, because the walls of your stomach are stretched after you fill it up!. Even drinking water! I always look at my stomach before and after I eat, and there IS a big difference, so don't think that it's your actual weight, just give it time to digest!. :)

If you honestly think that you are at an unhealthy weight then you should start a HEALTHY diet and exercise regime!.

1 idea is to stop looking in the miror at anything but ur face!.!.!. so dont look in a big miror!.!.!.!. just the type thats circle and fits for ur hear!. Another thing is two make sure u dont own a scale!.!.!.!. one problem with people is that thay constantly!. If they weigh a weight thay dont like, they tend to stop eating!. For ur problem just do those to steps with some exercize and eating right!. You should stay the same weight!. Dont worry about anything!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I used to do the same thing!. Then I realized I was caring and stressing so much about something that didn't even matter!. Yes, after you eat (or drink!) your stomach will slightly expand!. That's just normal, its not fat!. Its because you put something into your stomach, and it goes away!. I started eating whatever I wanted whenever I wanted slowly, and I realized I didn't really gain much weight!. By no means was I fat!. You can eat "normal" and most likely you will look "normal"!. You'll see that you were worried about nothing!. Honestly, first, you have to love yourself!.!.!. when you love yourself and your body you just don't want to criticize it or starve it, because!.!.!. you love it! And your self image and the way others see you is like 90% mental and 10% physical!. I've seen some of the not so pretty girls getting ALL the attention and guys drooling over them!. I'm like why!?!? Its because (mentally) they THINK they're the hottest thing on the planet and that somehow rubs off onto other people!. So don't starve yourself, work on your self esteem and how you preceive yourself in your mind!Www@Answer-Health@Com
