Puberty question.....?!


Question: Puberty question!.!.!.!.!.!?
I was just wondering how much weigh a typical girl gains during puberty!? I started 7th grade weighing about 115 pounds and about 5'6" and now at the end of 8th grade I weigh about 125 and am 5'10!.5" tall!. Also, is that a lot to weigh for my height!? Thank you!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You sound very thin for your height!. Don't fall into the trap of freaking out about your weight, just like every other girl does!. Be happy in your own skin! You only gain weight in proportion to the height you grow!. If you hit puberty and don't grow in height, you shouldn't gain weight either!. You, however, did grow much taller!. I might anticipate even a few more pounds of gain!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No, you may even be a bit under weight for that height!. There is no "set amount" for how much weight a teenager will gain during puberty!. As long as you stay active and eat healthy, your weight will plateau at the weight you are supposed to be!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

125 is low for 5'10"!. Based off military standards, which have low end limits as well as high end, you'd be in the under weight category!. Eat healthy, exercise, and let nature take its course!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if you're 5'10" that's a good slim weight at 125!. for sure!. don't worry, in grades 10-11, that's the year women really get the big physical change!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

gain of weight really depends on the individual so you cant accurately pin-point that!.

if you do gain "pup fat", you do lose this quite easily when youre an adult - do not worry!. i went through the same thing!.

you sound to me like you are really really skinny!.!.!. it is completely normal for you to gain x treme amounts of weight during puberty and also you will probably grow out and then up!.!.!.!. so if you think you are big now, (there is no way though) just wait you might grow taller(although u r already really tall)Www@Answer-Health@Com

nope you weigh just fine!. and 5 to 15 is normal!.!.!.stay active and once your hormones get balanced the weight will balance too, and if you are on any birth control to regulate your monthly visitor (yeah it helps do that) then you tend to gain weight with that but it too goes away after a few months on them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You might be a little thin for your height, but you are still growing!. What you have to watch for after puberty is that a womans metabolism will slow down because you don't need the high energy to make your body change!. So your calorie intake will need to slow down as you age, but you seem to eating healthy! I wouldn't worry too much about your weight, you seem to have a healthy lifestyle as is!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No that is not alot of weight for your height!. It sounds like 4 inches and 10 lbs in one year! Total growth spurt! You should start to level off now!. You might put on a couple more pounds but be more concerned with % body fat!. Remember muscle weighs more than fat!Www@Answer-Health@Com
