What would be a good weight for me to aim for?!


Question: What would be a good weight for me to aim for!?
im a 17 yr old boy who currently weighs 228 pounds ive so far gone down from 258 lbs and my heights 5-8 to 5-9!.im currently dieting but i want to get a good weight aim because i plan on getting fit for the summer and then possibly start building a little muscle!.so does anyone have a good weight i should be aiming for!.thanks alot!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Congrats on the weight loss!. You're doing great!

Shoot for about 180, and concentrate on building those muscles!. Some serious weight lifting is in order here!. Compliment that with cardio workouts, ie, running, swimming, cycling, etc!.

Set yourself some weightloss and workout goals for discipline!. Educate yourself on the finer points of lifting and nutrition!.

Around 140!. But don't wait on losing weight to start building muscle!. Exercising now will make the weight loss easier and start adding muscle immediately!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Instead of focusing on your weight, focus on your body composition!. Work on lowering your bodyfat rather than trying to come up with an "ideal weight!." Or, work on body measurements (make sure your chest to waist ratio is more healthy)!.

A person can be 228 and be very fit!. Another person can be 228 and be obese!. It is all about body composition!. Figure out how much body fat you're dealing with and then plan accordingly!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think about 175 would be good!. It would give you a bmi of about 26!.67 (at 5'8")!. That is a bit overweight, but if you plan on building some muscle mass, it won't be a big deal!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I agree with the first answer!. Building muscle will help burn fat a lot faster!. You don't need to do all that much to build muscle!. Just buy some weights (as heavy as you think you can manage), and lift them when you get bored!. Also try some crunches, squats, lunges, etc!. Aim to first work the largest muscles in your body because they'll be the most helpful in burning extra calories!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
