Just joined a gym yesterday and I need a routine?!

Question: Just joined a gym yesterday and I need a routine!?
I am 5"2' female
I weigh 130 lbs
I want to lose 22 lbs in 7 - 10 weeks

I joined a gym and I went for my first time today- I was completely overwhelmed by all the equipment! I want to get my body bikini ready for the summer and I would LOVE if someone could give advice for the perfect routine!.

I have alright fitness, I can run on a treadmill for 20 min at a fast speed and not get too tired!. But my problem is, I don't know how long I should be using each machine and even WHICH ones I should be using in the first place!?

How many minutes on the treadmill/cross trainer!? 10 - 20 min!?

Do I use the weights, the rower!?

How many times a weeks should I go!? I'm prepared to put in the man hours!. I'm resolute in my goal!. I've started the healthy diet and forked out all this money for the gym membership

I don't want to get like Arnold Schwarzenegger, I really just want to lose fat- especially from bum and thighs!

ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
You want to do about 40 minutes of cardio on an elliptical or treadmill!.!. 5 minutes of that will be warm up, 5 minutes on cool down setting and 30 minutes of regular cardio setting!. It should have a way to set it so that you achieve your target heart rate according to weight and age!.!.
Weights are a great thing to add!.!. Don't worry, there's no way for you to look like Arnold without taking steroids!.
Here's a great article to get you started so you understand what you're trying to do with weight training!.!.
http://exercise!.about!.com/cs/exercisewor!.!.!.

The second page of that article gives you the basics for what exercises to start with and the names of some common gym machines!.

Here's another more detailed list!.!.
http://exercise!.about!.com/cs/exercisewor!.!.!.

The good thing is that often the name of the exercise is similar to the name of the machine you can do that exercise on!.!.
Just start out simple and you can build on your routine!. I do weight training 4 days a week with legs, arms, chest/back and abs all on separate days with crunches also done with each days exercises!.!. I do about 3-4 different exercises working on the major muscles in each group!. You'll want each exercise that you do the same day to work a different muscle!. Like, if you're doing arms that day, you might do triceps dips, biceps curls and lateral raises!.!. After a couple weeks, you'll want to start adding in a couple more arm exercises that target the smaller muscles in your arm!.!.
Hopefully that helps you out!.!. Learning weight training is a gradual process!. Just start with the very basic groups and then work your way up!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The gym employees will set up a routine for you!. Just ask; that's what you're paying for!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i say walk first
it gets your heart rate up
which helps with weight loss
then just spend as much time on
one excercise machine as you can
and go on to the next
every time you need a breather get
one but don't stop for like 5 min!.
that way you're body gets pumped
after 30 min stop for a 20 min break and
then go back for another 30 min
this will actually burn more calories
than doing a full hour w/o stoppingWww@Answer-Health@Com
