How do me and my husband get healthy and loose weight?!


Question: How do me and my husband get healthy and loose weight!?
My husband and I have decided that we need to loose weight and get fit!. We are both marginally overweight but it is affecting our health!. I have tried in vain to loose weight for a long time but when I decrease my food intake I get hypos and if I increase my exercise I seem to tone instead of burn fat!. Plus I work nights and can be too tired in the day to bother with too much exercise!.

Any help would be gratefully recieved!. Any websites that you can point me to would be excellent!.

I'd say you 2 year old was a great help to exercise as the sort of activities she might enjoy would be good for your fitness too!. I remember when I was a kid being taken to places by my parents and they'd always end up rushing about and having a laugh, but maybe your little one is a bit too little for that!.
The best exercise is done outside a gym anyway, so don't let that stop you!. If you went for a run for just 15 to 30 minutes 3 or more times a week it would do wonders for your health, even if it was the last thing you felt like doing at the time!.
Unfortunately there's no easy way to lose weight for health benefits and it does sound like it's the exercise you're lacking rather than diet problems!. Most wise weight loss courses try to cut out 500 calories a day, partly through eating less and partly through exercise!. Only a combination of both good eating habits and exercise will help you get fit, slim and healthy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well i would actually get advice from a dietitian, so see a doctor first, ask them, because they can assess your body weight/mass and can determine a better diet, and then perhaps take up swimming, good all round exercise, and cycling if you can stand it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Eat a healty diet, calorie controlled and excersice everyday, its the only way!.

There are no quick fixes!.

Slimming world, slimming world, slimming world and they're very family orientated so you can take your daughter alone to meetings!.!.!. what about going for walks or bike rides together!.!.!.!. the park is a fun way to have a run around with your little one, so fun and losing weight!.!.!.!.

i know what you're saying about working nights, but most people work days and exercise after work during the evening!.!.!.!.so yours in the opposite way round really!.!.!.

You guys can play sports for fun!. At the same time you will be losing weight!.
I recommend running, soccer, basketball!. Riding a bike is great exercise! Go for family walks! Hiking!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sorry to say it, but excercise is a must!. How about very long walks with hubby and pushing the pram!, you can always bus to destination, then walk back!.

Or buy a baby seat for bike, try out cycling!. Swimming with child!? etcWww@Answer-Health@Com

2!.Look at how much fat is in your food when you go shopping!
3!.Go for walks every day or 4 a week for 2 hours!

You are actually in the ideal situation to sucessfully lose weight!

Both you and your husband can help each other out and your child is so young that she will eat what she is given :)

Just fill in the info on the right for you and your husband and find out how many calories each of you should be consuming each day as a starting point!.

It will be hard at first to find a balance between portion size and staying within the calorie limit but you'll get the hang of it with each others help and support!.

When you go shopping be VERY selective and only go after you have eaten so you are full!.

DO NOT buy in anything that you know is bad for you!. NO cheese, NO butter, NO sugary snacks, NO crisps, NO chips, NO pizzas!.

Buy in healthy options and when it comes to making meals, you will make do with healthy alternatives!.

Buy some scales also - weigh yourself first thing in the morning after using the toilet and start your diet! Then weigh yourself again in a week, then whenever you want, but always in the morning!.

Once you see the numbers start to fall it will be a HUGE motivation to continue!.

For exercise, just walk everywhere that will take you less than 30 mins!. The baby will enjoy getting out in the pram also!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
