Alrighty I just started taking Creatine also so I can help. Some people suggest a loading period for creatine where you take 15-25g per day for 3 days, which is necessary in monohydrated form or micronized forms, these are pure Creatine forms. Therefore since its so pure you may think its the best but its not because in its pure form it's not easily absorbed by the muscles. Even if you drink a lot of water with it which is necessary for any form of creatine. The best type of Creatine is CEE which stands for Creatine Ethyl (something) basically it combines Creatine with a sugar alcohol so it doesn't add empty calories that makes it more readily asorbed by your muscles. So take 3-5g of any type of CEE, it doesn't matter most are created equal but make sure it's made from "german creatine" that's the best kind.
