Answers:

I tried to gain weight once so these answers are from my own experience:

(1) Eat healthy foods which contain a lot of energy. Don't eat too much junk food. Food like rice, bread, potatoes etc.

(2)You will gain weight first and THEN you'll become a fat potato- you could always stop after you gain weight.

(3) At first, you don't notice it. It took me 3 years before it started showing on my belly. This is the part you have to be careful with- when you gain weight, a lot of the time, it doesn't affect your size, instead, you may get a bigger tummy or something which increases your weight but not your size (and it does not look too good)

(4) Sorry, I don't know. I gained 10 kilos which was like 2-4 pant sizes.

(5) Depends- I think you have to think of it more in time than in weight. 17Ibs in like one year would be really noticable but 17Ibs in like 3 years wouldn't.

(6) You need to find out WHY you are not as heavy as you may want to be- mybe you're eating too little or exercising too much? For me it was too much exercise- I used to do dancing for about 8 hours a week which didn't seem much back then so I didn't really understand why I was so light. But a few years after I stopped, I finally understood how much exercise I had done.

In my opinion, you don't need to gain weight. You're perfectly normal for you age. As you get older, you automatically become heavier- have you gone through the stage where you suddenly grow and you suddenly become a lot hungrier than before.

Your body will undergo a lot of changes through puberty so if I were you, I wouldn't try and gain weight- at least not until you are older and your body has stopped changing.
Good luck
