Question: Oh em Gee!!! I just found out that!.!.!. (story below)!?
That my friend who is 13 weighs 194 pounds! I really want to help her! She's in sports about every season except spring!. But she doesnt look like she weighs more then 145 pounds!. So what could I do to help her!? What are some food tips, and exercising tips!. I want to be her workout buddy!. I dont need to lose weight I just want to help her!. Also she is very tall about 5 feet and 7 inches!. So she must have big bones!. Will her weight evenly stretch out cuz of her weight!?!?!? Also she wants to lose 20 pounds by the end of summer!. She drinks pop alot and sometimes has a treat!.

If she is 5'7" and does lots of sport then her weight could be due to her height and muscle, however I've just checked her BMI and she is in the 'obese' category!. For a 13 year old this is quite serious!.

By losing 20 pounds she will still be in the overweight category, but it will be a step in the right direction!.

She needs to cut out the fizzy drinks if she is serious about losing weight, as these contain so much sugar it's unbelievable!

Why not suggest that you and her go for a walk/jog a few times a week together!? Running really speeds up you metabolism as it gets your heart rate going and burns more calories!.

Make sure she drinks plenty of water as this will speed up the calorie burning process and make it twice as fast!.

She should incorporate plenty of fruit and veg into her diet, and limit 'treats'!.
