Is losing 2 1/2 lbs a week healthy rate?!

Question: Is losing 2 1/2 lbs a week healthy rate!?
I weigh each morning and write down each weigh in on a calander!. I've been dropping at an average of 2 1/2 a week or 5 every other week!. Is this a good rate or should I speed up or slow down!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
That's fine, it's the higher end of the scale and it probably won't keep up as your body comes down to a more healthy weight for it's height and frame, so don't get disheartened if it does drop to 1 to 2lbs per week!.

Keep up the good work

Two pounds a week is the most anyone
should be losing at a healthy rate, so you're
doing fine!.
If you're losing anymore than that,
then you have room to eat a little more
or cut down on exercising!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Its probably not best to be losing more than 2, but you're ok!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is a good rate per week!. Because you will be able to keep it off when you get down to your weight you want to be at!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

By your name, I'm assuming you are male, and men lose weight more rapidly than women!. So, 2 1/2 lbs a week sounds really good and not at all unhealthy!. Your starting weight and how much weight you have to lose (percentage of fat), will also effect the rate at which you lose it!. The greater your percentage of fat, the faster and easier it will come off -- to a point, of course (weight loss will slow down as you get closer to goal weight)!. My husband ALWAYS loses weight faster than me!. He has a greater amount of weight to lose and as a male, burns calories at a higher rate!.

Sounds like you are on the right track! Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
