How healthy is the Ali diet?

A coworker of mine started the Ali diet. She does not always eat the healthiest and thinks this is some magic pill. Apparently she is having some stomach problems and problems making it to the bathroom in time..... I don't think she ever had these problems before going on Alli. I would research it intensively because there are a lot of things fdha approved that aren't necessarily good for you.
