How to work your chest doing push ups?!

Question: How to work your chest doing push ups!?
in the summer, i could do 50 pushups in one sitting, chest touching the ground and all!. Since then, i've done a lot of bench pressing for track at low reps/high weight!. Now, i can only do about 20 pushups and i only feel it in my arms!. is this cause my form went to hell, my chest is stronger than my arms, or just cause i conditioned myself to be too anaerobic!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Your body adapts to whatever imposed demand you place upon it!. Your body is probably deconditioned to do those higher repetition push ups!. It can also be quite possible that your form may of change from year to year affecting the amount of weight distribution across your body when doing your push ups now!. Another possibility is that the speed at which you do the push ups have decreased causing more tension on your muscles over a longer period of time!. You weight may have gone up, causing your body to "push up" more weight during your push ups!. If you've been lifting heavy with the bench press, you must've put some weight on your chest causing their to be more load on those muscles!. Without being their to see you do the push ups, these are my answers for you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

u probly used to do pushups with a wider stance
closer ur hands r together, the more triceps and the less chest u use
i think of pushups as an endurance activity, so since u've been doing a lotta low rep lifting, u've probly lost some slow-twitch musclesWww@Answer-Health@Com

Low reps/high weight increases strength but not endurance!. To get your endurance up, up your reps to about 8 per set so you can hit the middle of endurance and strength!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
