Freshman Fifteen - is it really true?!

Question:

Freshman Fifteen - is it really true?

I've heard so much about that when you go to college, during your freshman year you usually gain 15 pounds. Is this true, or is it less weight than that, or is it just a myth?

Answers:

Most people do gain weight. Some just gain a little bit (for me it was about 4 pounds), others gain so much you can hardly recognize them afterwards. You have to be careful not to overdo the partying, cafeteria food, ramen noodles, free pizza, etc. and keep up with exercise.
