Question: My wieghts a big issue!.!.!.help!?
i actually dont no how much i weight anymore, i dont wanna no, i weighed myself at xmas and i was back under 17 stones again, since then i decided 2 eat properly,i only used to eat at tea time and used to eat junk food throughout the day, im now eating breakfast, dinner and tea, trying my best not to pick between but i no ive put on wieght!. im eating healthier than i did before and i feel im fighting a loosing battle, i really do wanna loose weight but i need a kick up the but, is the gym the only way forward do you think, any advice pleaseWww@Answer-Health@Com

the key to losing weight is to find a REALISTIC diet that doesn't make you feel deprived of food: in other words, find a diet that doesn't leave you hungry!!!!
my advice is go to see a nutritionist!. they will "kick you up the butt" because you will be seeing them on weekly arrangements and they will be weighing you!. its the best option and you'll be your ideal weight in about 3 months!. not only that, but you will still be able to eat treats and the diet will seem like no effort at all!Www@Answer-Health@Com

See your doctor before embarking on any fitness regime!.

There are no quick fixes that will work in the long run!.

Remember - slow and steady wins the race!.

You need to do cardio and toning
Running
Cycling
Swimming - this is excellent as it combines both elements and is low impact!.

If you ever feel less than motivated I always say this to myself before I go for my daily run

'To have an athletic figure, I must do athletics!'

Food wise aim for;

200-300 cals for breakfast
60 cal snack
300-400 cals for lunch
60 cal snack
400-500 cals for dinner

Loads of water, I mean a lot!!! and spike it with some citrus fruit as this has an enzyme in it that quite literally eats fat!

These meals should be made up of good quality, close to source foods no alcohol, no pop not even the sugar free variety!.

Remember if you have to open a packet (not salads! I mean crisps and chocolate!) to get to it, it is probably man made, processed and full of crap, which in turn is counter productive!.

Another of my many mantras is

'if ya put rubbish in, ya get rubbish out!' I say that to myself when contemplating sticking a mars bar in my gob!

Balance is the key to health!. Balance in diet and balance in lifestyle!. To stop gaining weight you must use up as much energy as you eat!. To loose weight you must use up more energy than you eat!. There is no magic involved! Any number of snake oil salesmen will sell you product A, B or C or a wonder diet, but in the end the only way to loose weight and keep it off is to change to a new more balanced lifestyle!.

Need a kick up the rear!? Think about this, 20lb over your ideal weight will cost you at least 10 years off your life! And even worse, reduce the quality of your life for the balance of what you have!.

By all means get professional advice as to what your own ideal weight is!. YOU are not an average!. You are yourself, each person is different!. Not everyone needs to be the same exact weight!. That is as much nonsense as the wonder diets that promise weight loss without effort!.

If you really are over weight step one is to increase your exercise!. WALK more, run if you can!. You do not need to go to a gym! Try climbing stairs, or hills!. Eat smaller regular meals!. NO naughty snacking!. Eat more fruit and vegetables!. If you feel an uncontrollable urge to snack, eat a piece of fruit, apple, pear, peach whatever!. Vary your diet!. Eat a little of many different foods!.

Reduce fat and sugar intake!. Eat more fibre, more complex carbohydrates!. More vegetables, more white fish, more fruit!. Unsweetened bread, pasta, potatoes (but not as chips!) Watch the toppings and sauces these often contain more calories than you think!. No sweet sugary drinks!.

VARY what you eat, its more fun that way and you won't get bored!. Try Japanese, Korean, etc!. Try to cook your own food from the basic ingredients, its fresher, healthier and more fun!. You also get to know exactly what you eat!. If you are not good at cooking, take a course, buy a recipe book, whatever it takes!. Dieting and good nutrition is not about denying yourself, but rather learning to eat a more responsible diet!. Good healthy food actually tastes good and is filling!

Don't forget the other part which is exercise, walking, climbing steps, running, lifting (shopping), sex, planting your own garden, anything that gets your heart rate up and keeps it up for more than 5-10 minutes is good exercise!. But you have to do it daily!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

1!. get your nutrition in order first - it doesn't matter how great is a workout - you can't out run a bad diet
2!. So cut out junk food, processed foods, eat more steam food, vegies, fruits, lean meat !.!.!.And cut out all kinds of sugary drinks
3!. eat 6 healthy mini meals a day in controlled portions
4, then look at interval training and resistance training
5!. invite a weight loss partner to keep u motivated !.!.!. you'll more likely to succeed!
6!. Set small goals - not unrealistic goals or you'll fai
7!. expect this to be tough !.!. no easy or quick fix here!.!.so don't expect miracles !.!. only hard work!

Well,yes you do need to train!.you do not need to work your butt of to keep fit,walking is the best training you can do,get a dog then you'll have to go walk about every day and you;ll have someone to train with,eat a good diet,with fruit every day!.eating well is best,do not look short term,think this time next year,look in the mirror for best results!.
