The average woman needs 2000 calories a day!. To lose weight, 1500 would be about right!. 3500 calories equals one pound, cutting 500 calories a day over 7 days a week equals 3500 calories!. So you should lose about a pound a week!. However, make sure not to skip any meals or cut more calories then that or your body will go into starvation mode and hold onto the weight!. If you are exercising daily(which you should) then you will need to eat slightly more, maybe 1700 calories!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Calculate your resting metabolic rate (RMR) by multiplying your weight by 10!. That's the amount of calories you need to consume just to exist!.

Next, consider your every day activity to be an additional 10-20 percent of your RMR!. (For example, your RMR would be 1350!. RMR plus 20% = 1350x1!.20 = 1620)

Finally, you want to add in the number of calories you burn while exercising (and I hope you're exercising)!. There are websites you can google to find out, based on your weight, how many calories you burn for certain activities!. Try the one below!.

Your final number will be the amount of calories you want to consume in order to maintain your weight!. If you want to lose, reduce that number by 500 calories, and you will lose a pound a week!. In theory anyway!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
