Is jogging/walking a mile everyday good exercise for a beginner?!


Question: Is jogging/walking a mile everyday good exercise for a beginner!?
I'm not in like really terrible shape but I'm definately not IN shape!. I run about a mile and a half in PE every Wednesday but that's about it other than regular PE!. Do you think jogging/walking a mile everyday is a good workout to start with!? Thanks!. =]Www@Answer-Health@Com

when i first began my diet/healthy plan a year ago, i weight 155 at a height of 5'5"!. and what i did was walk for 1 minute, jog for 2, for about 2 1/2 miles!.

but now, im 5'6", 135 lbs!. (i started my diet up again recently), and i can run 3 miles without walking!.

The real issue is not the distance of your walk but rather the pace!. You need to sustain around 40 minutes of walking at 70-80% of your max heart rate to achieve optimum results!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
