My sister in law was really over weight and she lost it through exercise it took her 11 months to lose 135 lbs and she does not have the flabby skin!. I think that if you lose it by exercise and you don't lose it to fast you skin tightens up with the muscle if you lose it really fast then you will probably have flabby skin!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Depends on your age, your skin elasticity and how much weight you've lost over what period of time!.

Your best bet is to eat sensibly and lose weight over a longer period of time!. Also make sure that you add exercise to the mix - all the way through your weight loss!.

If you do get loose skin then plastic surgery may provide some cosmetic relief!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you have lost an enormous amount of weight after being overweight for a while it is quite common that your skin, after having been so dramatically stretched out for a long time, will lose some of its natural elasticity and will stay all loose!. Even if you are not that badly overweight and lose some weight, the chances are you will end up with stretch marks, which is very common after pregnancy, for example!.
Unfortunately, if you do have a real problem with excess loose skin, the best thing to do is to consult with a plastic surgeon!. He/she will be able to recommend the best course of action, such as having the excess skin removed!.
A gatric bypass, however, is a different kind of surgery!. This is used to assist very morbidly obese people with losing weight!. It effectively reduces the size of the stomach (to cut a long story short)!.
But the bottom line is that if you do have a lot of excess, baggy skin, the only way to fix it will be surgery!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
