Will walking 75-90 minutes a day make me lose weight?!


Question: Will walking 75-90 minutes a day make me lose weight!?
Im 16 and weigh 245 pounds!. I started walking last fall and I was 265!. Then I gave up because the weather got bad, but in January I toughed it out and bundled up and went for 60-90 minute walks in the bitter cold!. I recently bought a treadmill about a month and a half ago and have been walking on it everyday for 60-90 minutes!. Now im at 245!.

I hadnt saw my grandparents in 2 months and when I went over there, my grandpa says "you look like youve lost quite a bit of weight" and I never told him I was excersising or nothing!. Thats the first thing he even said to me, was my weight loss! lol

Even my aunt says I look like ive lost weight!. Ive been wanting to get down between 230-235!. How long do you think it will take for me to get there by walking 60-90 minutes everyday!? Ive lost 20 pounds since last fall or January!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

oh definetly!. walking causes you to lose weight without having to change your diet!. runnin is more for cardio!. alot of people dont know that!. but you should definetly walk outside if you can!. 1 mile outside is alot harder than 1 mile on a threadmill!. and drink tons of water everydayWww@Answer-Health@Com

What you have to realize is there are many differnent types of calories that you can burn on a treadmill!. A brisk walk will help you burn fat calories, which it seems that you are interested in burning!. A run burns sugar calories, or excess glucose!. Studies I know have said walking 45 minutes at a moderate speed walk burns fat calories!. So yes if you are walking everyday you will burn calories!. Another thing you might want to try are protein shakes!. Some of these are meant for losing weight!. You can find them at places like GNC!. A little pricey but, not to bad, definately worth it!. I would try something like muscle milk or Syntha-6 which are both made to help burn fat, give you energy, not let fat be stored as permanent fat but instead burnable fat, and help you build lean muscle as you go along!. That is the stuff that I take!. My personal trainer suggested it for me!. Drinking lots of water also helps keep your body clean and flowing well, this can help you have less of an appetite as well!. Good luck and I know you will lose weight this way!. Just remember to burn fat you just have to burn more calories than you consume each day so eat right too!Www@Answer-Health@Com
