How much should I weigh, I don't want to be *too* skinny?!


Question: How much should I weigh, I don't want to be *too* skinny!?
I'm 19 and 5ft 8inches I want to weigh 145lbs is this ok!? Or is it too little!?
I currently weigh 186lbs, so I need too lose weight don't I!? I'm not like really fat but I can't wear cute clothes as I have a big butt :o(Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your BMI would be 22!.

BMI Chart
Underweight = Below 18!.5
Normal weight = 18!.5-24!.9
Overweight = 25-29!.9
Obese = BMI of 30 or greater

So it would not be too skinny!. It all depends at where in the "normal weight range" you would want to be!. If you would want a BMI of 19 (lower but still normal) then 125lbs!. If you want to be at the upper end of the normal range, then you could be 158lbs (BMI of 24) Right now your BMI is 28!.3 so although you may not be really fat, you are overweight (muscle weighs more than fat, so you could be musclar) but I don't know because I can't see you!. Techically, for your height/age you could be between 122-164lbs and still be in the normal range!.

For your height the ideal weight is 140!. At five feet you should weight 100 lbs!. and then five pounds for every inch over five feet!. 145 would be a great weight for you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think 145 is fine for someone who is 5 foot 8!. I am 5 foot 6 and I should weigh between 119-149!. 145 is probably about the middle of the road for 5 foot 8!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Eat only when hungry and not more than three times a day!. Include plenty of vegetables and fruits in ur food!. Eat slow, chewing each morsel at least 32 times!. This activates ur body to send signals that u have enough!. No snacks or drinks in between except water!.

Take light exercises and walking for about 30 min every day preferably twice a day!.

Be patient to see the results in hassle free mode in reasonable time!.

I would say you are fine the way you are!.!.!.im 32 yrs old, and im 5'9 i weigh 205 lbs!. now i need to loose weight, but if you are really interested in loosing weight, always remember this: Diets don't work, and Diet pills will work for a period of time, but the weight will come back sometimes double of what you weighed before, the best advice i can give you, is "when your hungrey, don't starve yourself, go and eat, and eat what you want, but never eat in front of the T!.V, always chew each bite of food at least 20 times, eat slowly, then you will see the difference and no when you are full!. try to walk at least 1 mile a day, or more if you can, walking is great exercise and sheds those pounds before you no it! good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
