Metabolic questions!?!

Question: Metabolic questions!!?
Is it true that:
1!. If you eat a small healthy meal every three hours you will speed up your metabolism!?
2!. If you eat spicy foods, they will boost your metabolism!?
3!. Regular cardiovascular activity will boost your metabolism!?
4!. Speeding up your metabolism makes you lose weight faster!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
1!. Yes, this will keep your metabolism boosted and revved throughout the day!. I would recommend more carbs earlier in the day and then taper off towards the evening!.
2!. Yes, there have been several studies done with placebos stating that people lost body fat after dieting stricty with foods heavy in cayenne pepper!. But this is not a "end all be all" solution!.
3 It is better to couple Cardio with Weight training to promote muscle growth!. Cardio activity will boost your heart rate, in turn that will boost your metabolism, in the short term!. There are many different factors that can affect this such as diet, genetics, intensity, and type of cardio!. Keep in mind that it is better to do something than nothing!.
4!. Short answer: Yes!. Metabolism can be broken down in Catabolism and Anabolism, which during exercise can work hand in hand!. When you exercise (ie run, ride a bike, etc anabolism is powered by catabolism, where large molecules(ie Sugars, Fat, Carbs) are broken down into smaller parts and then used up in cellular respiration!. Then after you work out your muscles will continue to "repair" themselves, which can be entirely anabolic!. All of this will keep your metabolism running, and can lead to weight loss among other things!.
Good luck!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

1!. im not sure
2!. yes
3!. yes
4!. yesWww@Answer-Health@Com

1!. it depends on your genetics!. those with the genetic predisposition for easy weight gain do not see the same increase in the metabolism in response to feeding!. this response is called the thermogenic effect of feeding or TEF!. this is one of the reasons why some gain weight even on reduced calorie diets!. the TEF can account for 5% of the BMR so a decrease in the BMR of 5% over time can contribute to substantial weight gain for some!.

2!. very slightly, not enough to do anything on their own!.

3!. it depends on the intensity of exercise!. with low intensity exercise such as walking there is no real increase in the metabolic rate after exercise!. exercises like sprinting, swimming and lifting heavy weights can keep the metabolism high for 3-4 hours after the conclusion of exercise!.

4!. definetly!.!.!.anytime the metabolic rate is increased fatty acid oxidation is increased when the body is at rest!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
