Question: How does my diet look (here is what I ate today)!? and how can I reduce my fat intake!?

I am a 19 year old male!.

It was about 2900 calories!.

The only close to reliable numbers are calories, fat, protein, choesterol, sodium, carbs!.

I am trying to gain weight so on the days I work out (mostly lifting weights) I try to consume 2800-3000 calories and on the days I dont work out I try for 2600 to 2800!. I realize I need more fiber in my diet!. So I was thinking if I already have a high fat and low carb amount for the day I will eat Triscuits instead of mixed nuts!. Also I would like to eat a few more vegtables but still!.

I drank 100oz of water today!.

It just seems hard for me to get enough calories without eating fat!. What is high in both calories, carbs (not just refined sugar), protein, but not fat!. Maybe protein power!. I am certainly not afraid of eating fat but I think 45% of my total calories coming from fat on a particular day is a little extreme!.

I'm no expert, but I have heard that a good ratio of fat for the total diet is 30%!.!.!. now, it seems like you are trying to build muscle, so you definitely need more protein to do that!. Protein powder in water or with non-fat milk is good for that!. Also eating lean meat like chicken and turkey is good!. I hope this helps!. I would also cut out the cheez-its!.!.!. they're just bad for you overall!. Bacon is very fatty as well, maybe substitute some lean turkey sausage patties for that!. One more thing!.!.!. I'm not sure how many eggs is in a cup and a half, but instead of using all whole eggs, use half of them as whole eggs and the other half as just egg whites!. That will help cut down on the fat!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
