Exercises for marching bass drum???!
Question: Exercises for marching bass drum!?!?!?
im pretty excited i just got the fourth bass slot in my high school's drumline, but my backs always killing me!. does anyone know any specific exercises that will help!? i was thinking alot of core work, some rowing stuff for shoulders and back, push ups, id like to do most of it with free weights or maybe some equipment if possible!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Good equilibrium between your back muscles (latissimus dorsi) and your ab muscles!. If you focus on one side of your body, you'll just add to your problems!.
Try the superman excercise---lie on your stomach and lift your legs and arms at the same time!. This will strengthen your back!.
Do scissor kicks--- lie on your back and lift your legs up and basically kick (as if you would when you swim in a pool)---this is great core work!.
