I went on the diet and it worked really well for me!. I was a bit (25 lbs) overweight, but worse, my blood work was showing that I was borderline diabetic!. My doctor suggested I try the Atkins diet!. I got some information at lowcarber!.org which really helped!. I'm not a big meat eater, but I learned there that really what it's about is cutting unnecessary sugars & starches out of your diet!. Instead of rice, potatoes, pasta, & regular bread, I ate vegetables, cheeses, and low carb pita pockets!. My meat/protein intake stayed the same!. I felt a thousand times better after the initial adjustment to that way of eating!. But it's not for everyone, and especially not for people who can't be bothered to find out the proper way of doing it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
