i only get like 6-7 hrs of sleep everyday
i have to wake up at like 4:45 every morning and usually wake up at like 15min before and i try to go to bed early but every1 is watching tv full blast
i work out a lot

Your metabolism is indeed affected by not getting enough sleep!. The research being done shows it may also have a correlation to Type 2 diabetes!.
Try a hot bath & a glass of milk before bed!. It would be nice for others to be thoughtful and turn down their TVs! But if they don't, try ear plugs! This may be more important than you realize!.
A short period of sleep deprivation causes changes in hormonal glucose regulation, with a strong effect on pancreatic islet secretion, a decrease in glycogen levels and a slight reduction in C-peptide levels!.
Hunger represents an important warning signal of emerging hypoglycemia, eliciting food intake that counteracts a further decline in circulating glucose levels!. they say the normal amount of sleep is 6 -8 hours, so I think you are not sleep deprived!.

yeah! I get little sleep because my daughter (11 months old) still wakes in the night some times - not very often now but it does happen!.
I don't think it will affect your metabolism per se, but I have been told that if you don't get 8 hours sleep your body is tired so you crave rubbish food to keep your blood sugar levels up, if you have a willpower of iron - this won't be a problem!!

Yes you are sleep deprived!. The average amount of sleep is between 6 and 9 hours!. However, this varies from person to person!. If you feel tired during the day, you are obviously not getting enough sleep!.
In addition, your Metabolism, (the chemical reactions in your body) do not function at their peak level if you do not have sufficent REM sleep (the deepest level of sleep)!. This not only affects your weight but also your mood, brain function and other biological functions in your body!.
People do not realize that many of the problems they encounter throughout their lives can be attributed to metabolic functions that are affected by many factors!. Some of these are sleep, nutrition, activity, and many others!.

Try to get more sleep!.!.!. But main thing is when you sleep your metabolism is at a slow metabolic rate!.!.!. meaning you should not eat that high in fat or carbed foods within 1-2 hours before bed time!.!.!. I reconomend high protein diet and a small portion of protein before bed good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com
