Today I was during hurdles in track!. I was racing a friend and I jumped over the first hurdle just fine!. Then when I was getting ready to jump over the next one, I felt like my knee suddenly popped out of place or something and I fell down!. Its hard for me to run and put pressure on it!. It hurts under my left knee cap!. Also, during soccer practice later that day, I was limping and couldnt run or put pressure on it!.

Answers:
If you were running in a straight line it could have been small sprain of you acl or pcl!. The ACL is the most commonly damaged of all the ligaments in the knee!. It could also be a slight sprain of the patellar tendon, but it doesn't sound like it!. The general rules for most injuries will apply here as well!. Rest, ice, compression and elevation are important right now!.
Rest, obviously is trying not to exert yourself if you don't have to!.
Ice, keep it iced for about 10 minutes at a time every couple of hours!.
Compression, get an ace bandage and try to keep it wrapped up while not icing down!.
Elevation, try to sleep with a couple of pillows under you leg to keep it above the level of your heart while laying down!.
Right now the goal is to try and minimize swelling, after a few days switch to heat to try and get any scar tissue out of there!.
If it's just uncomfortable to walk for a few days then I wouldn't be concerned too much about it, you should be back to 100% in a week or so!. But if it's something that's extremely uncomfortable to even walk in or if you don't see any improvement in a few days, definitely go see someone about it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
