Answers:

Hi, honey...I'm 45, 5'2" and about your weight...belly is my "area of concern" too.

I've had really good luck the last week and a half - lost nearly 10 lbs already, and I'm down a size in jeans - by getting on the treadmill nearly every day for an hour (two half hour sessions or one full hour), drinking a fruit smoothie instead of a regular meal once a day, eating mostly fresh fruits, veggies and proteins (like tofu, beef patties, chicken, fish) and seriously limiting bread and sugary stuff.

I'm also getting regular massages, which are great for reducing stress that triggers wanting to eat...but the days I can't get a massage, listening to stress reduction or meditation music seems to work well - especially if I listen while I'm on the treadmill!

PLEASE don't feel you have to tell yourself "no" to the foods you love - just space them out so that you aren't eating a steady stream of burgers, fries, and so forth, and try to eat them earlier in the day rather than as the last meal of the day. This week (since Friday, my 'weeks' start on Thursday, because I don't like Mondays), I've still made time for a chocolate malt and a meatball sub...but on separate days and always mid-day. And I don't "punish" myself by working out extra either!

Keep a positive attitude - don't let the nay sayers or those who think it will take you *forever* to lose weight get to you - it can and will come off easily, if you keep telling yourself it will and you keep taking actions that prove to yourself that you are a healthy, vibrant, slender and happy person!

Set aside some time each day to just do something nice for YOU - a bubble bath, a pedicure, read a good book, go shopping for new makeup (size doesn't matter!)...and begin and end each day with being thankful for what you do have and being positively focused on what you will achieve!
