What's the difference between a "calorie" and a "kilocalorie&!


Question: What's the difference between a "calorie" and a "kilocalorie"!?
In Japan, all the food packages say "Kcal", which is short for "Kilocalorie"!. Is there a difference between a Kcal and a regular calorie!?Www@Answer-Health@Com


Answers:
Kcal is the same as the U!.S!. Calories (note the capital C)!. A calorie with a small see is 1/1000 of a Kcal or Calorie!. We are just lazy in the U!.S!. so we just call it a Calorie and drop the kilo (which means 1000 "little" calories)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

calorie is the one which gives you energy to do work!.!.!.

n kilocalorie is amount of heat used to rise the temperature of water from 14!.5 degree to 15!.5 degree!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
