Question: Is this right!?!? haha!?
Okay!.!.!.I am 122 pounds, 5'3, small frame, active and extremely cautious about foods!.

For the summer months I would like to get down to about 116 (which I have been told is okay from another posted question)!.!.!.so heres my question!.

How many calories should I have daily ( i have been told 1300-1500) and how many times should i do cardio a week and for how long (at the gym)!.

Keep in mind my age (19) and gender (female) and my BMI (21)!.

If I take *your* advise you are giving me!.!.!.when is it estimated I will see results!.

To lose 6 pounds!.!.!.it should not be difficult!. You should be able to do this within 4 weeks times!. You are already cautious about you food intake, which I assume means you eat healthy, 6 times a day, not eating 3 hours before bed, eating breakfast, and drinking plenty of water!. So that alone is a great way to keeping your metabolism active and fast!.

Now for exercising, to achieve your goal within a month's time!.!.!.you should exercise 4-5 times a week for 60 minutes!.

At the gym I would recommend the following:
-10 minute warm up on either a bike or eliptical (elipticals burn more fat)!.
-20 minutes of lifting weights!. (you need to alternate you muscle groups, 1 day arms & back, next day abs, the next day legs, the 4th day arms and back etc!.!.!.)!. Its important to lift weights because it is our muscle mass that determines how fast we metabolize food!.
-30 minutes of cardio!.!.again on either the bike or eliptical!.
-5 minute cool down, with stretching!.

After you work out, its best to replenish your body with a protein shake!. You cna use skim or 1% milk!. Try to avoid protein powders that have sugar and fat!. I use "isoflex" it has only 1 gram of sugar and no fat!. I have tried several types of protein powders and I actually like the taste of this one!. Tried the chocolate and I'm also using the vanilla for the first time!. Taste great!.

Oh and try to avoid eating fruit after around 2pm!. Fruit is great for you, but contains high amounts of sugar that should be used through out the day!. Not a great idea to eat fruit prior to bed because then the sugars are not used and can be stored as fat!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
