I have found that the Atkins diet is the best to lose weight quickly and without hunger; keeping the weight off is a different story. You must learn to identify what food triggers your cravings because those are most likely the ones that will make you fail if you eat them uncontrollably. Learn portion control, eat mini meals throughout the day and excercise 5 days a week, doesn't have to be anything excesive, 40 minute walks or 30 minute power walks will do. If you are willing to, you could also do strength training, this will help build muscle and muscle burns more calories than fat, so it will help even more in your quest. If you decide to do it, I would recommend a personal trainer so you learn proper form and then go from there.
