I am 16, have questions about my body?!

Question:

I am 16, have questions about my body?

I weight 182, and i have mostly all muscle (11% percent fat), and i constantly play sports, but i was wonderin am i over weight or normal and i am 6 feet tall

Answers:

At 5'10" I was in my best shape (and somewhat muscular) at about 185 pounds. I looked good at the time and was proud of my body. At 6 feet (and the same weight I used to be) you would be a bit more slim than I was at my best shape. So the answer is NO, you are not at all overweight. You probaly have a better physique than I did when I was young.
Another thing to consider is that muscle is HEAVIER THAN FAT. So you could gain a few pounds and still look more slim than someone who weighs nearly ten pounds less than you. People are surprised to hear that I now weigh 190 lbs. Most of then think that I am about 170. People are too concerned about their weight, especially when they are muscular.
Girls have an even worse problem when they work out to lose weight. Sometimes they GAIN weight (due to increased muscle) but end up looking ten times better then before. Even though they weigh more, they still end up with slimmer waistlines and better overall shapes. If you feel healthy, can jog a few miles and fit well into your clothes then you have nothing to worry about. Dont go by those insurance charts that tell you what your ideal weight should be either. They dont take into consideration a persons athletic build and ability, nor do they take into account MANY MANY other factors.
Enjoy your youth, your health and good physique. Good luck with the girls. They appreciate a well-toned young man.
EDIT: 11% body fat is very good. That alone tells all that youre in good shape. Keep your body fat at its curremt level and you'll be fine.
