I usually work out 4 or 5 times week, but the last few days I've been feeling really tired...?

I feel guilty not going and doing my workout, but I just feel totally wiped out at the moment, I seem to sleep for about 9 hours and still take hours to wake up properly, and I just don't have much energy at all. I know if I went to the gym and actually got going I'd probably feel better, but I just feel so lethargic the last few days. What's going on?! How can I get my energy/motivation back? When I actually get there I always enjoy my workout!


Answers:

You may have pushed yourself too hard, and are feeling tired because your body needs to rest. To prevent feeling guilty, you can go for a light walk outside. Next time you are at the gym, ease up a little on your intensity.

If you don't think this is the reason, take a look at your diet. Did you cut calories too severely (NEVER have less than 1200)? Are you getting enough fruits and veggies? Are you drinking enough water? Eating healthy foods can give you energy. I often feel tired when I don't eat enough healthy foods.
