Despite what many people will say, Bananas are not as good a source as most people think!. I have to home care for a friend of mine who was a cancer patient, and his potassium levels were constantly low!. He always had to try and keep them elevated!. Nurses always told him that bananas were not that great a source, that even though they do have alot of potassium, the human body couldn't absord it (I couldn't tell you why, this was about a year ago and it didn't seem important to remember)!.

He was encouraged to eat alot of broccoli, apricots, and orange juice when his stomac would allow it!. Also, he was on potassium pills, which he said were the nastiest things on earth!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
