Question: How is a teen supposed to lose weight!?!?!?
everone i asked has given me instructions on how to lose weight for adults!.!.!.i want to know how to lose weight when you're a teen, i cant eat 5-6 meals a day, im in class!. i cant excercise all that often, i have too too many activities!. I'm 16 and 144 (5'3)!. I've lost 3 lbs this week--here's what ive been doing--
running for 5 minutes
trampoline time for 1/2 hr
crunches (about 25)
karate, for an hour

I've also been trying to eat less (200-400 cals a day) but I don't wanna give up the food I like, but I will proportion it, please help a helpless teen lose the lbs to fit into her bikini :)

How to lose weight is the same for everyone (unless there's a medical issue involved)!. You just may have to figure out a schedule that works for you!.

You have to burn more calories than you consume!.

You don't have to eat 6 meals a day!. That's recommended for those that can manage it, but 3 well-balanced, healthy meals is okay!. Cut out the junk food, sweets, sugary drinks, and things that have little to no nutritional value!. Make those items an occasional treat (once or twice a week), not part of your daily diet!. Do NOT drop your daily calorie intake below 1200!.!.!.keep it around 1300 - 1500 for weight loss!. Take a look at the calculator on this site for daily calorie intake recommendations, as well as other calculators that you may find interesting http://www!.freedieting!.com/tools/calorie!.!.!.

Then exercise regularly!.!.!.shoot for 1 hr a day, at least 5 days a week!. Running for 5 mins is a good warm-up, it's not going to burn many calories!. Try for 30 mins - 1 hr of walking briskly and/or jogging!.

Bouncing on a trampoline for 30 mins again, will burn some calories but isn't the best cardio exercise there is!.

Twenty five crunches should be upped to 25 in each direction (forward, left, right, and reverse)!. Then increase it as it gets easier!. This exercise tones your abs, but doesn't burn a lot of calories!. It'll just help your tummy look nice when you lose the weight/fat that's covering those muscles!.

If you can get up before school and do aerobics or some kind of workout, then you'd have your exercise done at the beginning of the day!. Otherwise work in some brisk walks/jogs or bicycling!.!.!.see if you can get some aerobics videos or DVDs to use at home, and don't forget the weekends are good times to workout, but do give yourself a day or two of "rest" a week!. You can still be active, but you don't have to work so hard (and if you stay busy on the weekend, you're less likely to make so many trips to the kitchen for snacks)!.

well, firstly u shud NEVER starve!!!.!.!.tht will increase the rate of death n tht is true coz many of the models survive after starving so much becz of their least fat at ther stomach!.!.!.so exercise too!.!.but dont strain ourself!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

One thing that'll help a lot is to make a calorie chart of all the calories you eat, and write it all down!. Because most of the time you'd forget what you ate and not know how much more calories you should eat!.

You should be eating 1500 calories a day if your trying to loose weight (2000 if your trying to maintain it!.)Www@Answer-Health@Com

you are young so it wont be hard!. you should run for more than 5 minutes at least try and do a 10 min mile or just jog for as long as you can with out hurting yourself!. Being a teen you should be more active!. Karate should help! Crunches arent all that great! I crunch for an hour a day and no results except hurting myself!. I know you like the food!. I love chocolate but wanted to lose weight so I had to drop it!. Drop all sugar and caffeine as well as salt!. Drink water!.!. lots of it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

tramp for half hour is excellent!. you WILL lose weight!. give it time!. as for meals, can you buy meal replacements like lean body breakfast!? you can just pre-mix it and drink it up in between classes!.
here is what my dietician suggests - follow a practical diet!. start your meal with a soup or a huge salad!. this fills u up!. Make sure your plate has this ratio - 50% veg, 25% carb, 25% protein!.this will prevent cravings too!.an occassional treat is OK!. have a snack every three hours!. fruit (ideally berries) or soy nuts!. just 2 tbsp of soya subsides hunger pangs!. switch from white rice and bread to brown!. eat 900gms of veggies a day!.Lose a kilo a week!. that is permanent loss!. pick an exercise regime you like!.
get a pedometer and take 10,000 steps everyday!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can do the same things adults do!.

1!. Make sure you eat a healthy filling breakfast
2!. Cut WAY back on junk food, soda and high fat foods
3!. Eat a healthy lunch and include lots of veggies
5!. Avoid white bread/white flour
6!. when you get home from school, have a healthy snack
7!. Dinner should be the lightest meal
8!. Take a walk after dinner

Weight loss is a tricky topic!. Lots of people are unhappy with their present weight, but most aren't sure how to change it - and many would be better off staying where they are!. You may want to look like the models or actors in magazines and on TV, but those goals might not be healthy or realistic for you!. Besides, no magical diet or pill will make you look like someone else!.
