Tummy Tuck or Lipo?!

Question:

Tummy Tuck or Lipo?

Should I get a tummy tuck or lipo? I think I read somewhere that you shouldn't have a tummy tuck if you are planning to have kids, which I am. Also, how successful is lipo, like how much fat/pounds can it remove? I only need a little bit of fat taken off of my stomach maybe about 2lbs. Which is better??

I do go to the gym and eat healthy. I am only 118lbs and 5'4". I just have a genetically odd-shaped stomach.

Answers:

If you are considering removal of excess fats from your body, it is likely that you have done some research on the benefits of liposuction vs tummy tuck and vice versa. You will need to carefully weigh the pros and cons of both types of surgical procedures before deciding the appropriate surgery for yourself.

The trade-off with a tummy tuck is a flatter, smoother stomach versus a rather conspicuous permanent scar. Depending on the amount of skin to be removed, the scar can be anything from a small incision to a long line running from one hip across the pubic area and up to the other hip. So, before you decide on surgery, be very aware of the trade-off; you’ll have a flatter and unwrinkled tummy that will look great in a one-piece bathing suit, but buck naked you will be left with an obvious scar.
