Yikes, that's a lot of information! Let's break it down:

Diet: Most trainers and fitness experts will tell you that to begin eating 'healthy', you have to consider your relationship with food, when and why you eat, your likes and dislikes, and your 'triggers' for eating!. Having two small children probably makes eating on any kind of schedule a real challenge, but you've got to try and set up a routine and try as best you can to stick to it, even if it means scheduling your routine around your children!.

Eating five to six smaller meals per day is a great way to begin scaling down your calorie intake and getting your metabolism to work a bit harder!. Breakfast is really, really important to start your day, but think small--you're going to eat again in a couple of hours!. Try 1/2 a muffin or bagel, maybe some whole wheat toast and a little peanut butter!.

Protein--some at every meal! Protein helps you build muscle, and takes longer for your body to digest than carbohydrate / sugar / fat!.

Working in an office setting can be really challenging, especially if you work with people who bring food in to share, or bake a lot, or if your office has monthly pot-lucks and birthday parties (like mine does)!. You feel obligated to taste what people have brought, and also to bring things yourself sometimes!.!.!.and who wants to be the person that refuses a slice of birthday cake!? Your defense: snack drawer! Budget a little extra grocery money for things you can snack on at work: pistachios or cashews, turkey jerky (good protein and tasty!), crystal light drink mixes for your water, 100 calorie snack packs, granola bars, fig newtons!.!.!.anything to keep from being hungry and submitting to the office snack food!.

Exercise: Ideally, you want to try and get 4 or 5 days of at least 30 minutes moderate cardio exercise!. This could be anything from an exercise video while the kiddies are napping, to putting them in the stroller and heading out for a brisk walk around the neighborhood!. Anything that gets your heart rate going and keeps it going is good! In addition to walking, you'll want to try to incorporate some strength or resistance-type training, to build lean muscle and strengthen your bones!. Simple exercises that require no weights at all are squats and lunges--these are the two best exercises to tone your legs and butt, no question! Crunches and side-bends are great for your stomach, but don't forget to work that lower back a little bit, too, so your muscles stay balanced and support your spine!. You'll never see those abs, though, unless you trim the fat from your diet and burn off what you eat by doing cardio exercises!.

There are tons of recipe websites out there that include the fat / calorie / carb / sodium / protein breakdowns--use those to begin measuring what you are eating!. You might consider keeping a food journal for a week or two, to get an idea of what you are currently consuming so that you can set a goal!. To lose one pound, you need to burn 3500 calories more than you consume!. In a week, you will need to shave 500 calories (the fat and sugar ones!) off your daily food intake!.

I think most people know what the 'healthy' thing to do is, it's just really hard to break out of old habits when it comes to food!. And let's face it--all the 'good' food is usually bad for you!.

Hope that helps a little!.!.!.good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Go ahead and eat healthy, but in moderation, you CAN eat candy and sweets!. Eat two cookies if you want as a reward for two days of healthy eating!. Have a pizza every other week as a reward!. Don't eat the whole box of cookies or tub of ice cream!. But do eat sensibly, whole grain breads, chicken and lean meats!.

Try eating negative calorie foods like cucumbers and celery!. Cucumbers have no carbs and the body actually uses up energy when digesting celery!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

besides all of the obvious information, i think a realistic tip to healthy eating is to know what you next few meals are going to be and have them ready when it's time!.

when its supper time and you don't know what to eat, you will be more tempted to eat unhealthy foods!.

so cook your meals in tupperwares, have a few ideas for healthy meals you like, have your protein sources lined up, and you will never have a chance really to stray from an optimal diet!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Fruits and vegetable are the easiest for snacking!. They don't always need to be cold and they are super yummy!. But that must all be balance with proteins and healthy fats as well!. I would say, if you drink caffeine drinks, to drop all that and go water!. Try to go as natural as possible!. Read labels, if you can't pronounce words in the ingredient list, it's probably not healthy for you!. Try to go organic if you can afford it!. Try to make more meals at home instead of going out, if you go out very often!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Eating 'healthy' doesn't mean that you have to completely cut certain foods out!. It means that you have a balance of healthy and "unhealthy" (such as chips, chocolates, sodas, etc) foods!. Eating healthy doesn't mean that you have to 'suffer' with taste-less, dry foods, nor that you have to go hungry!.

Also, you don't have to go to a gym to get a good workout, nor do you have to spend a lot of money on equipment!. Even if you only have 10 minutes a day, you can get a decent workout (that's what I do, and I, too, have 2 small children)!. Plus, there are some that you can do while watching TV!.

Check out these sites!. They will provide you with healthy recipes for all meals (and, there's quite a variety of them), tips on snacking better, tips on eating while away from home, exercises, research results, myths, and much more!. Determine how many calories your body needs to function each day!.
This number can vary wildly, depending upon your metabolism and how physically active you are!. If you're the kind of person who puts on 10 pounds just smelling a slice of pizza, then your daily caloric intake should stay around 2000 calories for men, and 1500 calories for women!. Your body mass also plays a part in this: More calories are suitable for naturally bigger people, and fewer calories for smaller people!. If you're the kind of person who can eat anything he or she wants without putting on a pound, or you're physically active, you may want to increase your daily caloric intake to 3000-4000 calories, a little less for women!. Also consider that the more muscle mass you have, the more calories you need to function!. The bad fats are saturated and trans fat, which you do not need any of in moderation!. Someone on a 2000 calorie diet should consume less than 20 grams of saturated fat a day, and trans fat can and should be avoided all together!. The good fats are plain fat, which you should eat about 30% of your calories in, and poly- and monounsaturated fats!.

Don't fear fatty foods!.
You need to consume fat from foods for your body to function correctly!. However, it's important to choose the right kinds of fats: Most animal fats and some vegetable oils are high in calories and are high in the kind of fats that raise your LDL cholesterol levels; the bad cholesterol!. Contrary to popular belief, eating cholesterol doesn't necessarily raise the amount of cholesterol in your body!. If you give your body the right tools, it will flush excess cholesterol from your body!. Those tools are monounsaturated fatty acids, which you should try to consume regularly!. These are the good fats, and they help lower the bad cholesterol in your body by raising the good cholesterol!. Foods that are high in monounsaturated fatty acids are olive oil, nuts, fish oil, and various seed oils!. Adding these "good" fats to your weekly diet can lower your cholesterol and reduce your risk of heart disease!. Consider saut
